Name: Nyx Venaria (name comes from Greek goddess of the night, Nyx, and from the Latin word for hunt, venatio) Ethnicity/Nationality: Russian, but her family has traces to Greece Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Handedness: Right Skin: Reddish thin fur; white on muzzle, chest, stomach, hands, and footpaws Gender: Female Blood Type: A- Age: 24 Birthday: January 12th Zodiac (Greek): Capricorn Zodiac (Chinese): Boar Height: 6'1" Weight: 172 Eyes: Purple Hair: Dark brown that fades to orange at the tips Distinguishing Marks: Two crimson stripes trace her hips, upper arms, lower legs, and cheeks; white suture-like lines appear in between. Her lynx traits are easily recognizable the lack of a tail, pointed black-tipped ears, and bi-colored fur. Description: Nyx is a hybrid she is 80% human, 20% Eurasian lynx. She has a very muscular build from hunting, and is Amazonian in stature, though her personality is not looming or overly dominant. Though she is only 20% lynx, and most of her physical traits are generally human, the feline aspects are noticeable. She always wears a two-piece two-tone blue suit, along with snow boots and a necklace with a purple glowing charm. For hunting, she uses a 7 foot spear that has three prongs, along with a large blade in the center carved from a smilodon fang that she uncovered one day in the frozen tundra. She occasionally will use a dagger that is stored in a pouch on her left leg, or a crossbow. On the spear and arrows, there is an exit blade made of metal that faces the opposite direction of the penetrating blade; the exit blade will lacerate the prey as Nyx pulls the weapon out. This is Nyxs signature.
PERSONALITY
Overview: Nyxs main duty, because she and her brother were orphaned as children, is to hunt to survive. Over time, she has gotten very skilled at killing prey. Like all lynxes, she is mainly solitary, as well as nocturnal, hence her name. She and her brother Vox do everything together, and are not only best friends, but nearly inseparable. Nyx is somewhat of a paradox she hunts to survive, yet usually has some amount of displeasure while doing so. Despite her appearance and job, she is surprisingly benevolent. Traits: Relentless, intelligent, excellent at hunting, independent, stoic, quiet, and concentrated. Phobias: Losing her brother or her skills Favorite Colors: Purple, blue, and red Favorite Scents: Fire, honey, and the smell of winter Favorite Foods: Rabbit (and occasionally ice cream) Strengths: Though Nyx may be considered too solitary, this isolative behavior causes her to be very quiet and focused; but, she is very warmhearted toward Vox and her well-trusted counterparts. Nyx is relentless and hates failure, but will accept a loss if she realizes why. Fortitude persists in every situation Nyx encounters, and she is not afraid to take risks; nor does she give up very easily. Technically, she is very experienced at what she does. Weaknesses: Nyx can be incredibly stoic and independent. Sometimes she takes this too seriously. It also is hard for her to gain trust in others, seeing as how her parents abandoned her at an early age. She jumps to conclusions often, and her experience can lead to occasional hubris.
FAMILY
Spouse: None Children: None Parents: Abandoned Nyx and Vox at an early age; they had to learn all their skills relying on each other for support. Siblings: Her brother, Vox Malorus. Pets: None
BACKGROUND
First Kiss: None First Love: None Extras: None Story: Nyx calls the Ural Mountain Range of Siberia her home; her youth was spent frolicking in the cold taiga, learning how to hunt efficiently and skillfully with her brother. Their parents orphaned the lynx twins when they were young (Nyx was 1, Vox was 5). Neither twins knew their parents names, so they did not grow very attached to them. Their upbringing was rough and militaristic, but Nyxs skill today would not be where it is if she and her brother had not been forced to survive and adapt on their own. Now, as young adults, Nyx and Vox rely only on each other and the things they have learned.
